Our regular Open Mic Night welcomes everyone, singers, poets, comedians. No one is pressured to perform and everyone is welcome. Music needs an audience, so come along and enjoy the show.

Ruby Tuesdays is a new monthly open mic at Ruby's Cafe Bar Pudsey hosted by Sally7. All music welcome. Plus cocktails and a great atmosphere. Want to try some new material? Play old favourites to an attentive audience? Or even play live for the first time? Join us at Ruby Tuesdays!

Musicians/performers meet at around 8.30 pm every 1st and 3rd Wednesday of the month for a friendly informal sing-around session in a side room off the bar. Audience members are always welcome; there's no need to play if you don't want to.

Hosted by the amazing Mark Folan, this is your chance to grab the mic, or just enjoy the show. Find us from 7.30pm in the Chemic's dedicated live music room - that's right, no bar noise, no TVs, no one-armed bandits, just a great sound and light system, a lovingly restored pre-WWI piano, and a respectful and attentive crowd of fellow musicians and music aficionados - for another round of what's been described as the best open mic in Leeds (not my words, the words of the Yorkshire Evening Post..........comments section). Can't bring your own instrument? As well as the aforementioned piano, I'll also be making my guitar available to those who wish to play it. All styles and all levels of ability welcome. And if you're not a musician, don't let that put you off - we're just as happy to host poets, comedians, escape artists, you name it. We always try to accommodate our performers' needs and put them on at the rough time they want to play. Perhaps you need to be done by a certain time to catch the last bus home, or maybe you're like me and prefer to go on a bit later after you've had a few drinks; we'll do what we can to put you onstage at a time that suits you.
